LBL Guidelines
CHECK IN time is after 3:00. You may park at the garage and walk around to the house, or park in the driveway from Green Pond Road which puts you closer to the house for loading and unloading.
You may want to purchase groceries and bottled water for drinking/cooking before you head out to camp. Camp is serviced by lake water that is filtered for large particles and not recommended for drinking.
Garbage Day is Monday – Early! They usually arrive about 7 am. Our trash hauler is a private service and bags are removed from the totes by hand ***EVERYTHING must be bagged*** no loose items in trash receptacles
CHECK OUT time is 10:00am... please wash dishes, close windows and doors, shut off all appliances/lights, and leave the camp unlocked. No need to remove bedding - our cleaners will pull all the bedding

FISHING
In Green Pond live bait is prohibited and licenses are required for adults, please refer to NYS Fishing and Hunting site for regulations and to acquire a license
FIREWOOD
Firewood many not be transported from County to County, it must be procured in the area of usage - there are many stands along the main roads to buy firewood
IN CASE OF MEDICAL EMERGENCY
Ambulances come from Saranac Lake and there are grab-and-go maps to Adirondack Medical Center on the side of the refrigerator - use your judgement based on the medical emergency

NEW Short Term Rental Laws
The maximum number of overnight occupancy for Leaning Birch Lodge shall not exceed ten (10) occupants
The maximum combined number of overnight occupants and day time guests permitted for Leaning Birch Lodge between 8 AM and 10 PM shall not exceed twenty (20) people

Leaning Birch Lodge is in a residential area in the Town of Santa Clara and renters and guests shall be considerate of the residents in neighboring homes, no excessive noise or objectionable behavior of any nature or kind. Renters and guests shall observe quiet hours between 10 PM and 8 AM. Recreational campfires must be attended. Renters and guests to be compliant with the Laws of the State of New York and any Laws or Ordinances of the Town of Santa Clara

Internet/WiFi
Spectrum provided internet service with ORBI router and satellite on second floor - super fast internet everywhere. For the best music listening experience be sure to connect to Leaning Birch Lodge (not the guest access). Instructions provided on premises.
Telephone/Voice
There is NO landline at camp. However the WiFi can be used to enhance your cell phone connectivity, to utilize the wifi to make voice calls on your iPhone change these settings: Settings>Cellular>WifiCalling turn ON unsure about non-iPhone devices.
MUSIC
Above the refrigerator is a SONOS Play3 - it is a first generation SONOS so does not accept Airplay or Bluetooth …. Download the SONOS app to your phone, and you will see the system appear, further instructions available on premises.
In the TV/Game room in a drawer is a JBL Bluetooth speaker if you prefer that.
SMART TVs
BRING YOUR LOG IN/PASSWORDS for video services you subscribe to. Both televisions are smart TVs and have access to the major video services as Amazon Prime, Netflix, Hulu, etc.
STREAMING SERVICES
HULU TV +Live We have subscribed to HULU TV which offers all the on demand content you expect PLUS live TV, watch as Leaning Birch local channels like NBC5 are on the LiveTV menu.
